Video additions (talkshows, interviews, films)

It has been some time since the video archive was updated, so lots of new clips have been added today. First, some rare clips of a 1987 talkshow appearance on The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers to promote “Mannequin” – probably the weirdest interview I’ve seen in some time – two clips of Kim and Jack Lemmon in the 1980 drama “Tribute” and a bunch of promotional interview and featurette clips for the 2011 release of “Private Lives” in Toronto and on Broadway. You can access all latest clips by clicking here. Enjoy the new additions.

Kim Cattrall visits former Island home to receive honour

Kim Cattrall is being welcomed home as the Comox Valley’s. At the age of three, Cattrall and her family emigrated from England to Canada and lived in Courtenay for a number of years. Now, after gracing many a silver screen and red carpet, Cattrall is paying the Valley a visit. Cattrall has been honoured with a plaque on Courtenay’s Walk of Achievement, which started on 5th Avenue and is migrating down to the plaza outside the Sid Williams Theatre. On Wednesday, Cattrall visited G.P. Vanier Secondary School, then Thursday saw the unofficial renaming of a street in her honour. For just a few days, Don Road, where Cattrall grew up, will bear the name “Kim Cattrall Walk.” Two news reports on her school visit and the reception of the street plague have been added to the video archive.
